About Kristin LaRue

Hey there! I’m Kristin LaRue, a small-town girl from Paris, Texas (yep, that’s right, the “other” Paris!). I’ve been lucky enough to call this place home for my whole life, and it’s a community that’s captured my heart in a way that makes it impossible to imagine living anywhere else. I’m in my early 40s, married to my stubborn husband for over 20 years, and the proud mama of three teenage sons: twins Nolan and Noah, and our youngest, Mason. And even though they’re all taller than me now (seriously, I blinked and it happened), they’ll always be my babies. Being a mother to those three, has by far been the most rewarding and fulfilling part of my life, and I cherish every moment of it.

We live on 10 acres in Lamar County, Texas, and we’re lucky enough to have some of the most jaw-dropping sunsets you’ve ever seen. It’s one of those places where you just sit and stare, soaking it all in, and feeling incredibly grateful for where you are.

When I’m not chasing after my family, I’m a book lover with a library full of unread books, always dreaming of the day I can finally dive into them. I’m a firm believer in making every moment count, and while this busy “raising a family” phase keeps me on my toes, I know that one day I’ll have the time to sit and read those books. But let’s be real—when that day comes, it’ll absolutely break my heart.

I’ve been a photographer since 2008, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing thousands of people—families, engagements, weddings, new babies, special milestones, and everything in between. But what really lights me up is the opportunity to capture you—the real, unposed, beautiful moments that make your story uniquely yours.

I’m not here for the stiff, “say cheese” kind of photoshoots. Nope, that’s not my style. I want you to feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend while we capture the special moments of your life. I’m all about creating an experience that’s relaxed, fun, and totally true to who you are. Whether it’s a quiet, candid moment or a big celebration, I’m there to help you preserve those memories you want to hold onto forever, and share a few laughs along the way.
